Last night I experienced something I have never experienced before - a birthday party into Heaven. Mikes grandmother, Nancy Deely passed away yesterday while she slept with her son John by her side.
After dinner Bob poured Champagne for the adults and sparkling cider for the kids and we toasted Grandma Nancy's new birthday. It was a nice way to mourn and celebrate at the same time and reflect on her life. I really enjoy hearing the funny stories of her raising her boys and all the excitement that brought.
Her warmth and kindness will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. But we know we will see her again, as she told us she will be waiting in Heaven with the playing cards ready!
We love you Grandma Nancy!!

So sorry you've lost her but so happy that you all chose to celebrate her life. I don't know what I'll do when my Gramma leaves me.
What a beautiful way to celebrate the memories of her life while here on the earth and now her new life and new birth in Heaven. Very special.
