I was with the girls at the Gallery today and as Mikayla was walking around she tripped on some stairs...
Thunk
Small child crying
Me: "Oh baby, what happened" I asked as I take my 5 year old into my arms.
Mikayla - "I tripped and it hurts."
Me: "Let me see... Oh I think you will be okay."
Small child stops crying with the help of mommy's kisses and starts to play again.
3 minutes pass
Thunk
I look at my oldest and we just grin at each other knowing what the thunk meant. I'm about ready to ask if she's okay when she yells down the stairs..
"I'm okay - I'm okay!"
Her sweet little voice sounded like someone on a comedy show. She had the timing and tone down just perfect. I ended up busting out laughing! I don't want my daughter to hurt herself but she is a bit clumsy and she really does have a great sense of humor. Those two things combined make for a interesting day in our house. Even now I am tearing up from laughing at this situation. I love you baby!
