Our new diggs...

I promised I would post some pictures of our new diggs once I got settled in - so here you go. The first picture is of the first day we got everything thrown in. The rest of the photos were taken this morning.

The clothes are piled high and the bed is a complete mess!

This is our front door and windows - I brought all my plants to make it feel more like home.

Our cute little door. The view from the windows

The view once you get into the room - Living area and BedroomThe pretty new silk bedding we bought -

The wine cellar door is to the right of the bed in this photo. A close up of the new bedding - I love it!!
The bar area- Keep it stocked and I'll be just fine!
Inside the Cadillac Wine Cellar - Irene had everything custom built. The floor is about 4 inches of rounded river rock - it is so cool!! Keep this stocked too please!

Happy 4th of July - (a little late I know)....

We had a great 4th of July this year. It was full of swimming, BBQ's and dreams coming true!

Since we had just moved the only thing I wanted to do was relax. So we pretty much spent the day just having fun. We went on a bike ride with the kids at park and took them down by the Greenbelt. The Greenbelt is one of the many things I love about Boise. Here's a little snip-it about what the greenbelt is for those who don't live here.

The Boise Greenbelt links over 850 acres of parks and natural areas along the Boise River, including a 25-mile long bicycle and pedestrian path, paved except for a 1.5 mile section from Barber Park downstream. Year-round visitors can see songbirds, ducks, Canada geese, great blue heron and bald eagles in the winter. Wildlife viewing is best in early morning or late afternoon

After that we came home and swam for a little while in the new pool. It's been a great source of summer entertainment for all of us! Then off to a friend’s house for a BBQ. We had a great time just sitting back relaxing with everyone.
We ended up leaving a little early to get to the baseball where we watched the Boise Hawks win and then it was time for what we were really there to see. Mike's mom's Liberty Statue being unveiled followed by a firework show.

I can't even begin to explain what Liberty is all about so I advise going to her web-site and follow her along her tour by clicking on the Latest News. I am so happy for Irene and what an example she is setting for anyone who has been to afraid to go out and live their dream. http://www.libertyletsroll.com/

Look how festive we are!

Caitlin's 7th Birthday

C turned 7 in June and we had a great time celebrating her birthday. She got to spend a day with each of her grandmas getting the royal treatment by both. With her day with Mike's mom she got to feed horses, have lunch and then came home with Princess May Freckles. That is the newest addition to our family -it's a little black and white hamster! I never had a hamster growing up and even though I wasn't very happy about the idea of a hamster, Princess May is growing on me. She is pretty cute the way she runs and runs in her wheel - her little behind wiggling all around. She will actually come out when I call her name at her cage and stand on her back legs waiting for us to open the cage to give her food. The only I don't like is the pooping whenever she gets nervous. Hamster poop - gross!! Mike and his family are used to having hamsters since Mike's sister had a bunch growing up. Sorry for the digress... With C's day with my mom, she was able to go to lunch anywhere she wanted to go - which is no surprise that it was McDonalds. Then off to the park, zoo and then shopping! C loves to shop!!! After a day of shopping Mike, M and I met up with my mom, Bob and C and had dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. Better choice C!! So for C's birthday party with her friends we invited a few friends to go to Build-a-Bear and then out to pizza afterwards. It was so much fun and the kids had a wonderful time! While we were out to dinner with my parents we reminisced about the day C was born - I remember it like it was yesterday! I can't believe it was 7 years ago! She is growing up so fast! I am so proud you C! You are growing up to be an amazing, kind, generous, smart and funny little girl. You've gone from level 2 to level 6 in swim class, you are now reading full chapter books, you are learning to golf and play tennis! You’ve made some wonderful friends at school and have been such a blessing to us. We love you so much!
