Just Sayin....

Okay this is just something I want to say to all you men out there.

When you hear a woman in a stairwell with her boots clanking on each step as she walks down the stairs - by all means NEVER run down the stairs after her!

Yesterday as I was walking from the 5th floor down in the parking garage at work I started to hear a man's footsteps coming down the stairs behind me. He started slowly then started to run down the stairs. My heart rate increased and I was about ready to pull out all I learned in Kickboxing and self defense class to take this guy down. But as he approached me on the second floor he stopped and stayed 4 stairs behind me - what the heck is that all about? I was one flight up from the exit so I quickly made my way down biting my tongue the whole way. I so wanted to tell him to be a little smarter and not scare women!! Once I made it to the door, his hand reached around me and helped push the door open - by now I am so annoyed and as he said Good Morning I just stopped and looked at him as he walked away.

Men - here's a little tip - don't run up behind women that are alone in a stairwell and don't reach around her to open a door unless you know her or she is inviting you into her space - not a nice thing to do!! Just sayin...

So my day didn't end there with weirdo's. On my way home from work I was on the Freeway and I started to notice that a white truck next to me was staying even with me as I would speed up or slow down. I purposely tested this by slowing way down and then speeding up - he continued to be my shadow. Again my heart rate started to rise - I finally looked over and he gave me a little wink and wave. I just turned away and hit my breaks and got into a different lane and he finally went on his way. Do men really think that's a cool thing to do? Just sayin...

We all love Candy Corn....

We had a ton of fun on Halloween night. Our neighborhood is kid central and everyone really got into the fun of the evening. Our favorite house reminded us of how they do trick or treating in Texas. The people brought out a fire pit to keep their visitors warm and inside their garage they had tables of little snacks, hot cider and hot chocolate. The kids received big candy bars among other wonderful treats. Right away I asked where they were from and sure enough they were from the South. LOVED it!

it's funny how the candy suddenly disappears and all of my co-workers are happy the day after Halloween!!

All out for fun....Don't ask what I am - I threw on my boots and a hat and called it good.

Our new neighborhood was so fun to trick or treat in - some houses were even

giving away doggy treats - Kira was loving this!!

Fall Fun....

Last week we met our friend Jaime and her little man Finn for some fun at Farmstead. It was cold but at the least the sun was out and we had a great time!

This chair must have belonged to Papa Bear - it was too big!

Corn guns - sweet! There were cows on the other side of the fence waiting to eat the corn that flew over the intended target - I just wonder how many got hit by the corn.

Dang - they will eat anything - including a stroller!
