"Cowboy - Go say good night!"

With the anticipation of Cowboy leaving us, we have really been enjoying every moment. Today we had to do a bunch of yard work to get ready for the rental company to take pictures of the house next week. So we were outside all day and Cowboy loved it! He would follow us all around and play with the girls. At one point the kids got Cowboy's swimming pool out and filled it up - all three of them had a great time! Tonight when Cowboy went upstairs to say good night to the girls we took the camera along. The bed is the only piece of furniture he tries to get on and we let him, but only when he is saying "good night".
I think he believes he is a 90 pound lap dog the way he just plops down on top of the kids! He may be big but he is so sweet - Gentle Giant!

Status on Cowboys adoption - We have three families interested in taking him and we are so thankful we know all the families so we will have visitation rights and know he will be going to a good home.

Welcome Anaya!!

Mike's brother and his wife Marta and their new little baby came into town this weekend so we can meet this beautiful blessing! I can't even tell you how beautiful and precious Anaya is. It's amazing to think my two little blessings were once this small!

Anaya (uh - ney- uh) Grace entered the world via surprise c-section Tuesday April 29, 2008 at 9:20 am. She weighed 7lbs. 1 oz. and was 21 inches long.

Anaya means three things:
In Hebrew: God Answers
In Indian: Completely Free
In African: Look up to God

NEEDS GOOD HOME

We have to find a new home for our beloved dog Cowboy. We are moving in with M's parents and renting out our house for at least a year. I'll go into all of that in a later blog. Right now we are searching for a WONDERFUL new family for Cowboy. He is truly the best dog I have ever had and I am so sad to have to give him away.

He is a one year old Golden Lab mix. He is crate trained and fully house broken. Even as a "little" puppy he never chewed on any furniture or rugs. He does however like the occasional sock that might be left downstairs.

He has been raised with kids and has always done well with them. He went through a formal puppy training class and he graduated top of his class! We will gladly show the new owner the commands he knows and some of the great training tips that we use.

He is pretty much always with us either inside or out- we would love to find a home that will also keep him inside with the family. He has only barked about 4 times in his life - he is such a happy boy and just loves to be with people all the time.

We are looking for someone who will be able to spend quality time with him every day, keep him with the family, throw the ball for him to fetch and take him on walks. We do not want someone who will just put him in a kennel outside for 18 hours a day.

He also does really well around other animals including cats - he helped raise a kitten and was always gentle with her even when they were playing.

If you know of anyone that might be interested please just email me and we can talk. We are very protective of him and truly want him to find a great home. We are very sad to give him away but with life's unexpected turn of events we all are having to sacrifice.

Zoo Day!

Mike's sister, Andrea and her two boys are in town for a couple of weeks so we took all the kids to Zoo for an afternoon of fun!

Nathan loved the penguins the best!
