W.O.W.

I have decided to join in on the fun with my friend Beckys challenge. Here is what W.O.W is all about:
W.O.W. stands for Within One Week. Those of us who are playing this week will choose a project or to-do item that we'd like to accomplish within one week's time- Wednesday 4/22 to Wednesday 4/29.

If you would like to join in check out Becky's blog and join in on the fun!!

So here is what I am planning to accomplish. We just moved back into our house and I have piles everywhere! I need to get organized and get this house put together! One major hurdle to overcome is that I sold too many pieces of furniture at our garage sale last year before we moved out and so now I am lacking on storage areas, like bookcases, nice cabinets to hide things and I sold our entire bedroom set! No side table, no dresser - ugh! Oh-well I will make it work!

Here are a few pictures of what I am going to accomplish this week!

The office area: We have a unfinished bonus room so I gave my daughters the actual office area in our house for a playroom and I am turning our formal dining area in the new office. I only have a desk to put in here so it should be clean and look okay. This area can be seen from the kitchen, living room and informal dining so I need to have it look nice but this is what it looks like right now.

My second goal for the week and maybe I'm being a little over zealous but I need the master bedroom to look good to so I can relax at night. I sold our bedroom set so this could be even more difficult without a dresser or side tables! But I'm going to give it a shot!

I have faith I can do this and it will be FABULOUS!!!!

Good luck! That will be so great to get accomplished! I too will be cleaning 2 rooms. Maybe this will be a good excuse for some new furniture! Can't wait to see the results!

Good luck! There's nothing like the motivation of a starbucks gift card to get organized! :)

Good plan! It's amazin ghow much more relaxing it is to have your bedroom tidy! This is a constant struggle for me since I can just shut the door and hide the mess! A friend of mine for years just used cardboard boxes with pretty fabric over them to act as her bedroom furniture for a while...not great for storage, but it's an idea for appearance. You couldn't tell what was under the nice coverings and her room looked so put together :) Good luck! Can't wait to see the results!

Thanks everyone for the encouragement on this project and the good ideas of organizing without buying new furniture! I think a trip to the fabric store is in order!

Thank you Becky for doing this - Mike likes the idea too. Man - what I do for free coffee!!

Girl, WHEN you accomplish all of this "within one week", you deserve to win the Starbucks card.

We need new bedroom furniture too. No headboard, two end tables that are absolutely falling apart and one really old dresser. One day we'll get a new bedroom suit. Until then, we'll make due. Maybe I should go get some fabric too. :)

Can hardly wait to see your finished project(s). Good luck!

Wow! You are ambitious! : ) Don't work too hard! LOL

I love the idea of the fabric on boxes. I might need to do that in Ben's room this week.

I can't wait to see what you get done. Knowing you, it WILL be fabulous!

Go, Andi, Go! : )
