Carrie in a candy shop...

One of my dearest friends was in town this last week and we got together on Saturday to just hang out. It was so "fabulous"! That's for you Carrie!

Carrie and I have a history that goes back just to our college days but boy do we have stories! It seems that our paths have always crossed when we needed each other the most and sure enough she and I both ended up in Texas with our hubbies. Without knowing it for the first 2 months that I was there - we lived only 5 miles from each other in a city of 4 million people!! How crazy is that? We depended on each other so much and I was so blessed to have her live so close!

Anyway, so Carrie was in town and I decided to take her to some new places in Boise. Our first stop was of course Moxie. She and I have a deep rooted love for Moxie coffee! Then off to Bown Crossing where I took her to Powell's Candy Shop. As we walked in her mouth dropped wide open for about 30 seconds as she took it all in. Just to give you an idea of this wonderful shop of sugar - it took us an hour to walk around and look at all the wonderful treats! Any candy you have ever had in your life can be found here! Carrie was so amazed she ended up doing a little shopping and spent over $60!!! Sorry Carrie, I had to tell!

We ended up having a quick lunch and made a few other stops and then when we got back to her mom's house I had her pose like she was looking in the candy shop again! The picture says it all!

Hello my friend! I miss you sooooo much!!!!
